What inspires most of your lyrics? usually just situations from my life. whether or not a poem is directly about something, or abstract and portaining to something deeper, it all revolves around love and our relation to it.

Do you have any upcoming shows? not right now, im finishing up school and everything so i just do some local open mics. also, im finishing up everything for my cd so that is my focus.

It's just you in The Unheard Poet? well, technically, yes. right now all of my recordings have been done with just me, but on the cd, two of the poems will have music in the background. my friend mike will be playing bass and piano, my friend joel will play rythm guitar, and matt will play melodic guitar.

What is the best thing about poetry? a great man once said "poets are the midwives to reality." Poetry is like a second language, spoken and completely understood by a select few who think, not above, but outside of the normal human realm and express things that no one else can put into words.

Any funny/interesting stories? well I got kicked offstage at the first performance I ever had. i performed in a talent show at a christian summer camp, and i forgot the poem had the word "b*" in it, so they all freaked out and told me to sit down.

What do you think about UFOs? independance day is an awesome movie. but then again, every movie with will smith is.

What religion are you and does it effect your music? im a christian, and it has at least some influence in everything i write.

What do you think of vegetarians? theyre best medium rare, with steak sauce.

What do you guys do for work right now, other than playing music? im gonna get a summer job at dominoes. sweet.

What were some of your favorite bands growing up? i grew up listening to mxpx and project 86. an excellent combination.

Anything you would like to say to your fans reading this interview? you guys are freaking amazing.

What is the craziest thing a fan has done? A girl named tiffany came to one of my first open mic performances and shes one of my best friends now. not crazy, but pretty awesome.

Where can we get it? it will be available on amazon, itunes, and other online retailors, and hopefully in rhino records and barnes and noble and borders if I get lucky.

What do you think of Big Smile Magazine? I think youre pretty cool for interviewing me, since everything else you do is music.
