If SUICIDAL ANGELS taught us anything over the past couple of years, its gotta be that fine thrash metal doesnt have to stem from the Bay Area or the Ruhr area / Germany in order to damage your neck muscles!!! Since their debut “Eternal domination” was released in 2007, this Greek bunch continues to prove with every album how do to things the old school way…

Still, the fourpiece is far from living in the past. Sure you can compare the typical SUICIDAL ANGELS sound to that of genre veterans such as KREATOR, but their input into the current thrash revival is bursting with insane riff ideas, a massive and modern production and a unique and energetic live presence – the latter was clearly the case during their 2012 FULL OF HATE tour with CANNIBAL CORPSE, BEHEMOTH, LEGION OF THE DAMNED and MISERY INDEX.

After the great success of „Bloodbath“ early 2012 and the reissue of their debut „Eternal Domination“ in 2013, there is no rest for the wicked: „Divide and conquer“ will be released on January 10, 2014 and invites you panzer cruise number five! Singer Nick recalls: "We recorded from the middle of the summer to fall of 2013. Being more specific, we started with the pre-production, done at Zero Gravity Studios, based in Athens, middle of July. It was a really tough period, since all the details of the actual recordings, should be sorted out, so that we are 200% ready to get in the studio, focused, so as to record the album. Middle August, Music Factory and Prophecy Studios welcomed us for one more time. From 2009 and 3 albums later, there was nothing weird to expect. One last step, but one of the most important ones, is the mix and master, this time done by Fredrik Nordstrom at Fredman Studios. We didn't know what to expect for the final result, but what we got is killer. He managed to combine the old school feeling of our music with an up to date production of 2013, absolutely massive!”

The cover artwork has been handled by another well-known name in the metal biz – legend Ed Repka has worked with MEGADETH, DEATH, MUNICIPAL WASTE and SUICIDAL ANGELS before and is quite busy during thrash metals second heyday. “If you notice, in the pit, its not people fighting, its zombies. Also the crowd isnt human, they are zombies. They are the souls of people who have no human feelings anymore. They represent the ugliness and the inhumanity of the humans. Thus, turned into something else, they are easier to be conquered and manipulated.” A perfect mirror for the lyrics on “Divide and conquer” – because once more SUICIDAL ANGELS arent really interested in booze, mosquito bites and slimy aliens, but instead like to reflect on the everyday horror of our lives. “The main subject is the contemporary situation that we all are living in. There is so much power in the hands of few who have the ability to do everything, but their only fear is everyday and common people. So the only, most direct and easiest solution is to mentally disease the population, in order to fight each other, in order to misjudge reality and not being able to tell what is important and what not. So, like this, without unity, it is easier to become a slave.”

As serious as the message of the Greeks might be, as purely entertaining and neckbreaking are their new songs! Especially on stage, because the SUICIDAL ANGELS will embark on a European headliner run in January and February 2014. Part of the trek: FUELED BY FIRE, LOST SOCIETY and EXARSIS. Thrashem all!!!
