If you had to pick the best venue to play at, what would it be?

Main Stage at Ozzfest

What was your best show of all time?

The Whisky a go go with All That Remains. The place was packed, the crowd was really into the music and there was a pit from our first song to our last song.

When, Where and How was your first show?

The first show with all the current members was actually the show at the Whisky with All That Remains on Jan. 31 2007. We like to think of this as our first show because this was the first gig with our new/current drummer, and we had written all new songs, which we felt were much better than anything we had done before. For us to have such a good response with all new songs and a new member was the best thing we could have hoped for.

How have you seen yourselves get better since then?

We’ve continued to write better songs and since we have played more together, we’ve become more comfortable and confident which makes us a tighter unit.

No matter who you are, there is always a band that you look up to and would love to open for, who would that be?

Any of the bands that have influenced us would be awesome to open for. We are actually opening for Prong in October, which we are all really excited about.

What inspires most of your lyrics?

Topics for our lyrics vary with when they are written. Whatever is going on at the time inspires our lyrics ranging from social to personal issues.

How many people in the band right now are the original band members? (explain new members)

Josh (our drummer) is the only new member. The rest of us (Dave, Steve, Elaina) have been here since the beginning. Our last drummer was not a good fit and when we found Josh, we felt like it came together a lot better.

Where do you think that your band will be in 5 years?

We hope to continue pushing ourselves to write the best music we can and keep expanding our fan base.

Do you have any upcoming shows?

We’ve got a lot of shows coming including a Metal Fest at The Dome in Bakersfield with Kittie, Opening for Prong at the Whisky and The Metalstock festival in Arizona. Anyone interested can find more upcoming shows and the dates on our myspace page. (myspace.com/soulbleedarmy)

What were some of your favorite bands growing up?

Pantera, Metallica, Testament, Suicidal Tendencies, Prong, Slayer, Anthrax and Machine Head to name a few.

Anything you would like to say to your fans reading this interview?

We appreciate all the support and to show our appreciation we will always offer free merch to those who come out to the shows and support us.

Have you ever been on tour, how many and how did they go?

We are actually gearing up for our fist tour so we’ll let you know how it went.

What is the craziest thing a fan has done?

Make their own SOULBLEED shirt and came to our show wearing it.

Have you gotten any radio play?

Yes, we were feature on ESPN Action Sports Hosted by Rick Thorn and we’ve also been played regularly on Asylum Radio and Monsoon Radio.

Where can we get a cd of your music?

By coming out to the shows. We always give people a sample cd with at least 2 songs on it. Also, we are going to be recording a full length cd which will be available later this year.

What do you think of Big Smile?

It’s a great magazine for people to find out some info about the bands they like and maybe don’t know a lot about yet.
