Do you have any upcoming shows?

YES!!!! WE HAVE A BIG SHOW LINED UP @ THE DERBY IN LOS ANGELES ON FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 16, 2007 @ 11:20PM. TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE AT GROOVETICKETS.COM

What inspires most of your lyrics?

IT'S HARD TO SAY WHAT INSPIRES MOST OF OUR LYRICS. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN FASCINATED BY "THE UNKNOWN" WHETHER IT MAY RELATE TO GOD, RELIGION, POLITICS, ALIENS, SECRET SOCIETIES, ETC. BUT ON THE OTHER HAND, I'M ALSO INSPIRED BY WOMEN AS WELL. I THINK AT TIMES WE CAN EVEN PUT WOMEN IN THE CATEGORY OF "THE UNKNOWN" AND VICE VERSA. LOL.

OUR LATEST E.P. ENTITLED BRAINCHILD, IS OUT ON MYSPACE.COM/SIDE8 AND SIDE8MUSIC.COM/MEDIA.HTM

AND ALSO MYSPACE.COM/KONTINUUMRECORDS,

~

HAS A DIVERSE BLEND OF EMOTIONS AND MESSAGES BEING CONVEYED. WE ARE DEFINITELY HUGE FANS OF THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT. GO USA! HAHA... OR NOT. NO BUT SERIOUSLY, THEY ARE SUCH AN EASY TARGET WHEN IT COMES TO RIDICULE. HOW CAN I RESIST TALKING ABOUT THEM WHEN THEY ARE YELLING AT ME WITH INSPIRATION.

~

MY LYRICS WILL FOREVER CHANGE AND WILL NEVER ALWAYS FOCUS ON ONE TOPIC. I ENJOY HAVING OPTIONS... I MEAN AFTER ALL, ISN'T THAT WHY OUR ANCESTORS CAME HERE?

Do you have any advice to starting bands?

DON'T WASTE TIME AND DON'T ONLY FOCUS ON PRACTICING YOUR MUSIC. YOU HAVE TO NETWORK AND MEET PEOPLE. PEOPLE ARE MUCH MORE PREPARED TO GIVE YOUR BAND A CHANCE WHEN YOU INTERACT WITH THEM IN PERSON AS OPPOSED TO HITTING THEM UP ON MYSPACE. EVENTHOUGH MYSPACE IS A GREAT TOOL, IT'S NOT AS STRONG AS HUMAN INTERACTION.

What is the best thing about music?

Aside from its meditational qualities, music gives us the freedom to be whatever, whomever we want at any given moment. There are no boundaries with music. Music is emotional, fun, theatrical, expressive, and speaks its own language with no necessary words.

What do you think about UFOs?

I think UFO's exist. I want to say I'm sure they exist, but I haven't been lucky enough to see one yet. You should check out The Disclosure Project Video on Google Video or You Tube. The video runs about 2 hours in length. A bunch of Ex Government officials got together to talk about their experiences with UFO citings while serving for the U.S. Government. The video is very interesting. I recommend it to anyone. Especially the skeptics. What do you guys do for work right now, other than playing music?

-Greg Brown is a mechanic, Alex Prompongsatorn and myself are graphic designers, and Benny Amesquita works in the packaging industry.

What were some of your favorite bands growing up?

This is a tough question because we all have such diverse tastes in music. I could name so many bands, but let me just we are definitely influenced by classic rock, early 90's rock movement, and electronic music.

What are some bands that have influenced your band the most?

Led Zeppelin, Tool, Rage Against the Machine, Soundgarden,
Mars Volta , Incubus - science, Rush, The Police, and Depeche Mode. Those are just a few...

Anything you would like to say to your fans reading this interview?

Follow your dreams... many people will try to talk you out of your dreams especially if you're pursuing a band, but if you stick with your passion you will be successful. Have faith and work hard.
