GREY GORDON HEADED IN THE STUDIO TO RECORD FULL LENGTH ALBUM
GREY GORDON HEADED FOR THE STUDIO TO RECORD DEBUT FULL-LENGTH ALBUM
February 13, 2014 – Los Angeles, CA – Singer-songwriter Grey Gordon has announced plans to enter the studio this month to record his first full-length album for No Sleep Records. The release follows Gordon’s 2013 EP, Still At Home Here, and previous EPs Outgrowing Hope (2011) and Sleepless (2012).
"I'm beside myself with excitement to record this full length,” says Gordon. “I'm getting to make it with Ben Barnett of Kind of Like Spitting, who is a lifetime hero of mine, so the situation couldn't be more ideal. Beyond that, I'm just excited to put this material out into the world, simply because it's such a departure from what people are used to hearing from me. Having the ability to go into a studio with a full band affords whole new opportunities and dynamics. I hope people are as stoked about this material as I am. Ever since I was a teenager, I've wanted to craft a record with as much impact as the albums I grew up listening to by bands like Superchunk, The Pixies, Dinosaur Jr.. My Bloody Valentine, etc. I'm hoping that I can at least take a baby step towards that goal with this record."
Gordon hails from Fort Wayne, IN and has been performing as a solo act since 2011. Following the release of Outgrowing Hope and Sleepless he joined No Sleep Records in 2013 and released his debut EP for the label Still At Home Here. The punk troubadour recently released a new video for his song “500 Miles,” a song featured on his latest record which is available for purchase at bit.ly/19Rfnmp.
