6/9 the Vault in Laguna ca.

Have you been in other bands, why did they end or how are they going?
MIKE: We have all been in other bands… Doug is orig. from Miami F. Eric from Cuba Missouri. Chris and I are both southern Ca. natives…. We all have been in other projects… things led to others and here we are now.

What inspires most of your lyrics?
DOUG: For me everyday life… and past experiences…. A lot of what’s going on in the World, personal viewpoints on what I see or feel. I try to send positive message I feel a lot of music lacks that these days.

How many people in the band right now are the original band members?
CHRIS: There are four
All original members, except Mike on guitar. He has been with us now half the life of the band which is going on two years now. We are so stoked he’s part of us.

Do you have any advice to starting bands?
CHRIS: Learn everything about each other… let everything on your mind be heard. And take in what your band mates say also. Work hard everyday and don’t stop doing positive things for your band. If someone is holding you back in any way, truly consider others for that spot.

What is the best thing about music?
DOUG: Better than anything else on Earth… everyone needs it… people connect through it.

What other instruments can (each person) play (other than the ones they currently play in the band)?
DOUG: We all pretty much stick to our roles. Mike is teaching me to play the guitar as we speak and I rock a mean bongo!! Mike plays a little piano and bass, Chris rocks on the strings also.


Any funny/interesting stories?
DOUG: Hmm there are so many hit us up on the myspace we will share all of them with you!!

What do you think about UFOs?
DOUG: I believe they are there… I don’t think we are Gods only beings. There just too much out there we don’t even have a clue about.

What religion are you guys and does it affect your music?
DOUG: We all have separate beliefs and views; we all respect each others and don’t look down on any others beliefs. That’s something this World and country should try doing more of.

What do you think of vegetarians?
DOUG: They are rad.

What do you guys do for work right now, other than playing music?
MIKE: save lives, sleep in, go grocery shopping.

What were some of your favorite bands growing up?
DOUG: Pearl Jam, The Cure, Wu tang, Rage…

Do any of the members of the band play in any other bands?
MIKE: I rock out with my pops for fun…
CHRIS: we devote our full time to this project.

Have you lost any fans for doing something drastic? (like moving to a bigger label, changing your sound, ect)
CHRIS: maybe some sence our EP was a diff. sound from what we are doing now…

Anything you would like to say to your fans reading this interview?
DOUG: we love you. Come to our shows we like hugs.

What is the craziest thing a fan has done?
DOUG: dressed?
How did you come up with the title of your latest album "Temptation EP "?
DOUG: It kind of sums up, both our moods and overall message of album.

How long did you wait from start to finish making the CD and how did it feel? (did it take to long, or go by fast)
MIKE: we recorded this LP super fast we all did our parts in a days worth in the lab.
CHRIS: we didn’t do preproduction or anything, we just went in and out raw…. Sort of the hand we where dealt.
DOUG: Its in its last stages of being mixed and Mastered in Indiana….

What do you guys think about it?
CHRIS: we love it!!

What do you want people to get out of listening to "Temptation"?
DOUG: maybe bits of it can help them through something they are going through, or perhaps they can make some sweet love to it… LOL.

What did your fans say about it so far?
DOUG: all who have heard it love it.

Any advice for anyone thinking about making a CD?
MIKE: Pre production… lol
