What is your myspace? www.myspace.com/darkhorse1804

Do you have any upcoming shows? Yes, im touring the east coast and canada this summer, check my myspace for tour dates, i'll be stopping in Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Georgia, Florida, and Toronto, Ontario in the next couple months for performances

A lot of our readers are from California, could you tell us a little about the music and spoken word scene in Connecticut? Well, i'm sure its basically the same stuff, we have a few cool venues and clubs and coffee shops where bands and musicians come on tour, and new york city and boston are nearby, so we have tons of options. i'm sure we have pretty much the same mindset and attitudes and likes out here than you guys, we're just swimming in a different ocean, that's all

What inspires your poems and lyrics? Depends on what i'm writing about. My political and anti-war poems are inspired by the current war in Iraq and the news I read about in the newspaper or see on TV. Some of my other poems are inspired by past relationships, lost love, or personal experiences that have happened in my life. Various poets and musicians also inspire me, such as Robert Frost, Edgar Allan Poe, Thursday, and Thrice.

What is the best thing about music and poetry to you?
That you can write about or sing about whatever is on your mind and bleed your heart out on stage to an audience. Writing poetry is pretty much like a personal psychologist to me, it really helps me channel my feelings and emotions and even anger or depression sometimes, and the best part is its free : )

What do you think about UFOs? I think when people see UFOs, that its really just new airplanes and other forms of aircraft that the government is testing out up in the sky and we're not supposed to know about it or what it is yet....so of course we wont recgonize it and assume its from a different planet. I do believe in the possibility that there is life out there somewhere else in the universe though.

What religion are you and does it affect your music? Well, right now i consider myself agnostic. I do believe in a God and an afterlife, but I believe the church is pretty corrupted and seems to care more about getting money than spreading faith. It does affect my poetry somewhat...i'm in the works of writing a book of poetry about religion and my eventual discovering of my faith and trying to find the answers.

What do you think of vegetarians? Well, if they eat animal crackers, i think they're hypocrites, nah i dont have a problem with vegetarians, but i dislike the organizations that try and brainwash society that meat is murder and that you're sinning if you eat meat.....we have meat teeth for a reason, so if you choose not to eat meat, please just devour your lettuce somewhere else quietly.

What do you do for work right now, other than writing poetry and music?
Well im a college student majoring in English and Secondary Education. Once i graduate i want to be a high school english teacher. I also work for the publishing company that i published my book with, i am the webmaster of their myspace page and also help them with promotion.

What were some of your favorite bands growing up?
I have a very diverse taste in music, i like everything from Marilyn Manson to Dave Matthews Band to Bjork to Gnarls Barkley to Matisyahu to Coldplay to 50 Cent to Bob Marley to Damien Rice to Thrice to HIM to Death Cab for Cutie to Incubus and everything in between....literally, i like stuff from every genre, they each inspire me and open my eyes and mind in new, different ways

What is the craziest thing a fan has done?
