The "Art for Nips" gallery was the premiere art gallery for Space 2710: a brand new, intimate art gallerly in Eagle Rock. The event was a complete success.

Over 15 artists displayed unique, exciting artwork with media ranging from acrylic on canvas to digital photography. A number of art pieces were donated to the event's silent auction which was able to raise several hundred dollars in donations to Fix Nation: the beloved local spay/neuter clinic. The auctions became quite competitive as the night came to a close with prospective buyers anxiously outbidding each other.

Featured artists included Anna See, Alex Shriver, Ben Pruess, Brian Robrigado, Briana Luque, David Landguth, Greg Spahr, Hengone, Janet Jonoud, Joan Landguth, Joy Nel, Liesl Long, Matthew Montanez, Stephanie Null, and superpao.

A number of local business donated raffle items for the event. These items included $200 towards tattoo work donated by Hustle Ink Tattoo Parlor, Eagle Rock, passes for weekend wine tasting from Colorado Wine Company, a vintage projector, a candle set from Koko candles, and a $25 iTunes gift card. Big Smile Magazine raffled off a Big Smile shirt and Universal Big Smile Magazine passes. These passes grant the holder entry into any Big Smile hosted event throughout 2010. Paoling Che was Big Smile's lucky winner!

The night's music was provided by LA's own DJ INFINITY who spun a number of hip hop, rock, and reggae classics. INFINITY's mixes never disappoint. Keep an eye out for DJ INFINITY at upcoming Los Angeles events and future Big Smile shows. Also, check out INFINITY's recorded mixes.

Less than two months ago, 2710 was a battered studio in the center of an industrial/commercial neighborhood. It was owner David Langduth's goal for years, however, to convert his location into a venue to throw shows and produce art galleries. Over the past two months, with the help of friends and family, David was able to transform his studio into an impressive venue. The packed building and incredible number of donations to the benefit were absolute signs of success for David.

On September 24th, Big Smile Magazine will be hosting a show at Space 2710. Stay tuned on Big Smile Magazine for event details and keep an eye out for other future events at Space 2710.

Donations to the benefit's selected charity can be made to FixNation.
