What are your names and what is your position in the band? My name is Jeannette and I do everything on these recordings. Weird, huh. . . It's what I'm best at. It's my ego. My identity. It's how I have my fun. It makes me feel omnipotent.

What is the best thing about music? The way it can change your cells. When it's good, it changes you to the core.

What is the worst thing about music? It distracts me from things I should be doing. . . sometimes.

What do you want to see happen thru music in the future,
are you doing anything to progress those ideas? I don't have any complaints on where it's going or what it's doing. I do it for the right reasons. Anyone who doesn't, that's their problem. . .it has nothing to do with what I do. It's their path and this is mine.

Does being involved in playing music make you miss out on anything? Sometimes. But I'm very organized. I can fit alot into my day. I like to live. . .alot. But you have to live in order to have something to write about. Music's how emotions manifest in a musician. It's that simple. We're just emoting. How odd is that?

What other instruments can you play? Well, it's just me and I play a little bit of everything.

What do you do for work right now, other than playing music? I work in my family's hardware store.

What were some of your favorite bands growing up? Prince. Boomtown Rats. The Cars. Van Halen. These are albums I went out and bought. Then I started getting into Luther Vandross and punk rock. The Ramones were always present in my life. Uhm, The Cure, anything dark and sexual with lots of longing is my preference. No.

Is there a venue or area you would like to play that you have not played before? I've played all over the world, literally and yet I've still never played The Whiskey. It's so weird.

What is your favorite venue or area to play shows? The midwest and the south are awesome. And Italy, Spain and France were amazing. Oh, and Holland. Wisconsin's alot of fun, too.

Where was your best show? Why? My best show was the time we opened for Madonna. We were so excited. She begged to have us on her tour and we were like, well, I guess so. What's your name again? And she came to my house and vacuumed. How could I refuse after she simonized my car?! We got paid 5 million dollars per night so it was pretty lucrative. . . .

What religion are you and does that have an effect on your music? I was raised catholic and it's touched every part of my sinning.

How did you come up with your band name and what does it means? A Brokeheart Pro is somebody who's just as good at gettin' a broken heart as she is givin' one. . .

Did you have any previous band names? (with same band members) Jeannette Katt, Electrolux, The Chubbies, Caroline No, Tragic Hearts.

What would you say to a kid who has no faith in himself? Buck up, junior. No just kidding. I'd say, don't worry, everybody feels that way. .but damn, there's so many reasons we have our insecurities. It's a very private war. You either win the battles or lose, but if you can stay in the game with a smile on your face, you're winning for sure.

Who do you one day want to play a show with the most? I'd love to open for Chris Isaak. Or No Doubt. But after the Madonna tour, it's hard to top that.

Do you have a web site? I have two: myspace.com/abrokeheartprofessional and myspace.com/abrokeheartpro

Why do you play music, what makes you strive to be heard? Good question. Because to tell you the truth, I know the reason I'm here. To make this music. I just don't know why. And I keep thinking, maybe it's supposed to touch somebody in some way and maybe it can help somebody. . or maybe I just have a huge need to be loved by strangers.

why would anyone want to hear your music and what you are saying thru it? I'm just letting them know they're not alone.

How many people in the band right now are the original band members? (explain new members) All.

Any funny or interesting stories? One time in The Chubbies, we were opening for the Offspring and Christene who played drums got in a fight with their personal trainer. She spewied beer from her mouth on her and then it just escalated. I'm not sure if that's as funny as it is pathetic on our part.

How long have you been a band? About ten months.

What do you wish for your band to be in 5 years? That I actually have a band.

What is the best thing about being a band? Well, I'll get back to you on this one.

How old were each of you when starting to play instruments? I played flute at 10.

Have you ever been on tour, how many and how did you go? I toured for about 7 years with The Chubbies. We went EVERYWHERE! We played backyards and basements. . anywhere and everywhere we could. It was a blast. All across AMerica in a shortbus that read "Eastgate Christian School".

Your your latest cd, what do you guys think about it and what did your fans say about it? I'm working on it now. What's so amazing about myspace is that about 100 people a day ask you for a cd and you go, hmm, maybe I should make one then.
What is music to you?
