Epitaph’s The Higher’s On Fire pushes the boundaries of the rock meeting the world of pop-techno. Maroon 5 meets The Postal Service would be the best of way combining two bands to make one sound. The Higher have catchy verses that remind you of the dance side of Panic! At The Disco. Especially the song “Insurance” which brings me back to the days of hearing “Lying Is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off,” blasting in my car. They both have such similar catchiness and techno feel to them. Dancing is not required but is recommended!

+’s
- On Fire is just so catchy!
- Makes you want to get up and dance, dance, dance!
- They make pop/techno rock into something anyone can enjoy.
- They are one of a kind, with pop vocals and techno rips not heard many times before with awesome and original writing.
- On Fire is filled with knuckleballs and when you first hear this album you will not know what’s coming next!

-‘s
- Could be getting a little to popish for some people.
- If you like consistency on an album this cd is not for you.
- On Fire does have a touch of R&M that may not be for everyone.

Overall this is a must have cd for your car rides around town to bump your stereo to!

I give The Higher’s On Fire a 4 out of 5 hearts
