Are you guys on a record label?
yep, we're signed to Not On Your Radio out of the UK

Do you have any upcoming shows?
Right now we've kind of been scattered all over the globe so we've just been working on completing our full length debut....but expect us on the road here really soon on both sides of the pond.

What inspires most of your lyrics?
man everything around that effects our everyday lives, could be political, maybe a news story I catch, relationships...etc..etc..etc typical stuff, social issues and the like...

What religion are you guys and how does it effect your music if it even does?
It doesn't really effect the music at all, honestly all of us were brought up differently in the band, some more religious than others....personally I think "The Church" is abit of a farse and tends to twist things for their own financial gain.... I tend to live my personal life by the good ol' golden rule....

What do you think of vegetarians?
Nothing wrong with them...to each their own is our moto...

What do you think about UFOs?
I don't know never thought much about it I guess? I mean you'd have to be ignorant to think we're alone in the vastness which is space, so I guess they could exist yeah...
What do you guys do for work right now, other than playing music? we're all envolved in the industry in one way or another... weather it be production, engineering, session musician work.... it's always part of what we do..

What were some of your favorite bands growing up?
The Clash, The Sex Pistols, Stiff Little Fingers, The Stranglers, The BuzzSTICKs, Wire, The Jam....the list goes on and on and on!! I also listened to alot of the Mersey Beat type stuff..., and Soul and R&B, Motown.... My Mom was a dancer on American Bandstand for a time during the 60's, and her and my Dad had a GREAT record collection, so I got to listen to all the new hip 45's...

What are band have infulenced your band the most?
by far speaking for myself...The Clash..definately Joe Strummer is a major part of my everyday life....I don't believe a day goes by I don't toss the Clash or Meskies on...

Anything you would like to say to your fans reading this interview?
Be patient, The Devildolls Rock n Roll Street Gang are a bunch of slags and work slowly the record is coming I promise!! In the meantime get over to www.notonyourradio.com or www.interpunk.com and pick up the Strummerville/Joe Strummer Foundation For New Music charity single we did!! Proceeds benefit Strummerville which is a great foundation that was set up by Joes widow and children as well as close friends...and benefits young musicians and artist who otherwise wouldn't have the resources to get started....it's good stuff they're doing innit?

You guys planning a us tour anytime soon?
Should do some US dates for sure...maybe some one offs here and there...like I said right now it's getting the record, and video for the single done.....

What is the title of you latest cd?
Anthems of The Lost & Forgotten

Tell us a little bit about it.
It's a straight forward punk rock n roll record....ghosts of an era gone by kind of shine through in the sound, yet it still sounds modern as well... The single Anthems of The Lost And Forgotten video features Ray Gange who was the star in the 1980 Clash film Rude Boy....keep your eye peeled for that one! We shot it around Camden, and it features Ray, as well as Bonnie Suicide, Clash insider Mark Helfond, and our onetime guitarist and ex-Yo-Yo's guitarist Tom Spencer....

Do you guys have any promoting secrets?
I guess make good associations with bands and record people.... from the #'s were obviously not a good myspace friends promotor.......there are some small bands out there that get out in front of thousands a day on myspace....its a great tool for bands....wish they had it around when I first came up in music....back then it was flyering like crazy and such....now it's build your friends list..... crazy how the computer works.... so to all that read this get over to www.myspace.com/thedevildollsrocknrollstreetgang and friend us NOW!!!...hahaha

What do you think of Big Smile Magazine? I think it's a great read for sure....People in the OC are lucky to have such a great zine......and to those who've yet to catch onto Big Smile, ya better start because The Devildolls Rock n Roll Street Gang said so, ya hear mate?
