What genre is your music? We've never really assigned a genre to ourselves, were pretty diverse with the styles we incorperate.
Who got you interested in playing this kind of music? We got into playing this kind of music through some of our favorite bands, stuff like Death, Pantera, Ensiferum ,Wintersun, Bodom, lots of stuff like that.
What does your band name mean? The name has no real meaning, we just thought it sounded cool.
What other bands have you been in, why did they end or how are they going? (Pat) I was previously in in another local band called Entropy of Earth, we parted ways mostly because my focus was mainly in this band (Norrath) and it just wasnt working well.
What venue has been the best to play at? Macewan Ballroom in Calgary.
When was your band formed? We got serious about it in mid 2005
Where have you been playing lately and how has your response been? At the last show the response was great, we had a full line of crazy metal head in the front row all wearing our shirts! It was pretty cool.
What do you guys do for work right now, other than playing music? Ben is an electrician, Don is a courier of sorts, Matt scoops ice cream, Pats a vagabond...
Did your parents like you playing when you were younger? All of our parents have been supportive with us and our music.
Does being involved in playing music make you miss out on anything? No, if anything playing music give us more opprutunities to do things that we otherwise wouldnt be able to do.
What advantage do you have above other people because you play music? Super powers.
What would you say if you saw yourself as a 10 year old kid playing at the park, (words of advice)? "Don't screw around."
Have you lost any fans for doing something drastic? (like moving to a bigger label, changing your sound, ect) (Pat) Hahaha, I once said some offensive things to a sound guy at a show.....He didnt appreciate it very much, and some of the people in the crowd might not have been too pleased....For the record. I felt it was necessary to say what i said.
Anything you would like to say to your fans reading this interview? Thanks for the support.....Buy our stuff.
What's your latest cd? We havent got a full lenght album out yet, but we recently finished recordin a 4 song demo.
How long did you wait from start to finish making the CD and how did it feel? (did it take to long, or go by fast) We felt it dragged on to long, it took way too long to get the final product....but i guees that almost everyone wants to get those types of things done and finished.
Have a great week!
