DeathCon5 @ Octane Lounge 12/19/08 (Metal)

The first band was Bill McCrain. They were a 3 piece band with a classic metal feel with a little bit of a pop punk mixed in, very original. They had a lot of energy, funny, and were a lot of fun to see and hear.

The second band was Flake. They were all right, Not the best stage presence but they were good at what they do, but didn't stand out very much to me.

Third was Conspiracy Theory, A very interesting band, Metal - Hip hop - Screamo, they reminded me of early early Lincoln Park and a little bit of slip knot. Not exactly my forte of music but was an entertaining and interesting band!

Fourth... oh DeathCon 5. This was the band I was here to see. Let you give you a small brief background, so before the show, I don't know what happened but for some reason the lead singer didn't show up, we all were here to see them play so they didn't let a singer stop them from rocking out! So they recruited the singer from conspiracy theory and one other guy which I forget his name. Not knowing the songs they did a mix between the 2 guys of screamo, hip hop and hardcore. They managed to pull off a good, interesting, fun show. I think it takes a lot of skill to just make music on the spot so I give Death Con 5 and the 2 singers that filled in a thumbs up!



One thing sweet about all the Side Show Production shows, there is always give aways, beer chugging contests, and fun things going on. Any time there is a SSP show going on, Go check it out, you won't be let down.
